Our websites are designed from templates to give you a canvas to work from. From there, content can be amended to become more personalised to reflect your needs. We can also design from your guidelines if this is a route you would like to follow. We can also amend existing websites to reflect your needs.
Languages
We use WordPress as well as Divi for the programming of the pages. Amendments to fit your needs can be done using Javascript and CSS.
Shopping, payment online are implemented using existing pluggins.
Content
Content (text) needs to be free issued in an electronic format together with good resolution images (free of any copyrights) so that they can be added to the site when the look and feel of the site has been approved.
Back End
Programming Languages
Whether it is an editing or full web development from scratch, we use PHP as main language with MySQL databases.
Other languages such as Python will be used for more local applications – Desktop applications for very specific tasks which we can organise for you.
VBA for Excel is used for the automation of your Excel files to avoid repetitive actions.
Databases
Our main databases are developped on MySQL which is the integral part of PHP to make the communication between the dataset and the web page.
Hosting domains and emails
Hosting is available unless you provide us with your credentials for us to implement at an extra fee.
We can organise your domain or use your existing details.
Emails to communicate with your visitors will also be set up for you (costs to be pre agreed), whether you use your personal email address or need to create one from your newly designed website.
WordPress Website
What you will get
Our websites are designed from existing templates which we will personalise in conjunction with your content.
We also use plugins (mostly free available) to integrate with your application to create functionality such as e-commerce, credit card payment page…
The idea is that you provide us with a brief and we will translate into a local workable website.
Hosting or not hosting
We can host your site (make it live) using our third party supplier. Alternatively you can provide us with the details of your hosting preference and we can help you to make it live.
The website we will provide is yours (with pages transfered to you) which can be used at a local level (your computer). It will be down to you to organise the links with your hosting supplier to organise the various links if you are not interested in us managing the hosting.
Domain name
We can use your existing domain name to link to your new site.
We can also guide you to the purchase of a new domain (website name) together with the setting up of an email functionality.
